David Coe

Director of Facilities & Purchasing

David Coe is the Director of Facilities and Purchasing for North Central Group. In his dual role, David supports and assists the local hotel teams to maintain their properties at the high level expected by our guests. Under the facilities role, he works closely with the property management team developing preventative maintenance programs and strategies, as well as helping solve maintenance challenges. As the purchasing director he oversees the portfolio’s supply chain from negotiating the contracts to sourcing products and services.

Since its inception in 2009, David has chaired out Green Team for North Central Group developing a green scorecard comprising over 135 metrics designed to measure sustainability improvements made by the hotels.

Prior to joining North Central Group in 2008, David held a variety of hotel and corporate level positions with several hotel companies. He has been a General Manager of two hotels, Regional Manager, Director of Marketing & Sales and Director of Purchasing.

David attended Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, earning his BA degree with a double major in Business Management and History. He has earned the Certified Master hotel Supplier designation from AHLA and Building Operator Certification. David is on the Board of Directors of the Madison Chapter of ISM-Madison (Institute of Supply Management), and past president of the Madison chapter of Sales and Marketing Executives (SME-Madison). David enjoys home landscaping projects, theater and swimming. Volunteer activities include ushering at the Overture Arts Center, United Way activities, Salvation Army, Bethel Food Pantry and the Road Home, a homeless to home transition program for families. He and his wife, Wendy, are enjoying their third decade of marriage and have one grown son.
